17,465 devotees visit Kheer Bhawani Temple this year, highest in 4 years – The Dispatch

SRINAGAR: As many as 17,465 devotees visited Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal on June 8, the highest since 2019, officials said.

The largest number of worshipers have arrived at the temple despite targeted killings of members of the minority community which have raised security concerns. Officials said that on June 8, a total of 17,465 devotees visited Kheer Bhawani Temple, which is the highest since 2019. “In 2019, 16,031 devotees paid their respects to Kheer Bhawani,” an official told the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) news agency.

He said that in 2017, a total of 18,420 devotees visited the temple while in 2018, 17,542 devotees paid their respects to the revered temple.—(KNO)
