Bangalore private school asks former students to change Gyanvapi Mosque to Google Maps ‘temple’, had previously been donated to Ram Mandir Trust

Additionally, on August 5, 2020, when the Ram Temple bhoomi poojan (ceremony of the first pickaxe) took place in Ayodhya, the school had organized a bhoomi poojan inside its premises on the same occasion.

The school had launched an invitation to all its students as well as its former students.

Subsequently, “The Story of Ram Mandir: A Timeline” was also shared as a post on the school’s Instagram handle where she detailed the history of the Ram Janmbhoomi movement culminating with the inauguration ceremony of the temple.

The New Horizon Group is owned and run by Mohan Manghnani, who is also the chairman.

In 2015, Manghnani’s photo with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was shared by PIB India’s Twitter account when he donated Rs 5 Crore to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

By analyzing the ‘social action’ donations made by the school, The quintet found that the institute had made donations to the Ram Mandir Trust as well as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

According to the institute’s social awareness page, he had donated a sum of rupees five lakhs to VHP in 2019, rupees 5 crore to ‘Shri Rama Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra’ in 2020, and presented this check ( or a separate one) to Deputy Secretary General of RSS Mukund CR in 2021.

Although the NHPS released a statement saying Gyanvapi’s email was not properly screened before being sent, it has yet to respond to questions from The Quint.

The Quint had contacted the principal of New Horizon Public School, as well as the chairman of the Manghnani Group via email with a detailed questionnaire about other activities taking place at the school, but there was no response. The Quint also called Kirthi Manghnani, the president’s daughter, who LinkedIn says is associated with the New Horizon group. A family member who attended the call said Kirthi would call the reporter back, but there has been no response yet. The Quint also spoke to the group’s administrative staff by phone, who requested that queries be sent to the Registrar’s email id, but there was no response from that id either. The report will be updated when there is a response from any of the above.

On condition of anonymity, many alumni of New Horizon schools and colleges said they noticed a “growing tendency toward right-wing politics promoted by the school.”

“I graduated from the school before 2014. Even then there was a lot of religiosity in the school and its teachings, but nothing like that ever happened. Since alumni are kept up to date with all happenings of the school and colleges that are part of the New Horizon group, we have seen how much propaganda they unleash. The worst thing is that students and alumni are supposed to participate in all this propaganda,” said one alumnus, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

While all students in attendance and New Horizon group staff were invited to attend the screening of The Kashmir Filesalumni received a lengthy email praising the film.

The post, signed by the school’s principal, Anupama Sethi, delves into “subtle details of #KashmirFiles that most of you may have missed”.

The long mail of several paragraphs ends,

“…Who is Arjuna? It’s you, the audience. Because in the end you are the Dhanurdharis. You have to decide whether you want to stand up to Adharma or not.

Finally, what have we lost in all this genocide? Sharada (Bhasha Sumbli) – in other words knowledge or Saraswati. Kashmir and the Kashmiri Pandits who have occupied the seat of our Knowledge for millennia have been murdered.

I think that subtle meta detail is the genius of this movie. Thank you Vivek Agnihotri. I wanted the world to recognize it.
