Bhadrachalam: Former CM of Andhdra Pradesh and leader of Telugu Desam N party Chandrababu Naidu Friday performed pujas in the temple of Lord Rama at Bhadrachalam. He was received in the traditional way by the priests in the temple. The priests blessed him after he offered prayers in the temple.
Later, he visited the Godavari Tank Bund (Karakatta) River and observed the flood situation. He interacted with flood victims in Karakatta.
Speaking to the media, he said people were happy and witnessed the development under TDP rule in united Andhra Pradesh.
He recalled that the Karakatta was built 20 years ago by the TDP government under the rule of the great NT leader Rama Rao and added that the Karakatta now protects people from flooding.
He said it showed how the TDP government operated during the then TDP regime at United AP.
He also recalled that former United AP CM NT Rama Rao built Karakatta with foresight to protect the residents of the temple town of Bhadrachalam from flooding.
It was great that people recognized the services of NT Rama Rao and TDP so far, he said.
The two governments of PA and TS should give assurances to people on flood prevention, Babu added.
