Governor of Karnataka Gehlot visits Kudroli Temple

Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot visited the Kudroli Gokarnanatha temple in Mangaluru on Monday.

The governor is visiting Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts and as part of his visit, he offered puja at the temple and had darshan from the presiding deity at the temple.

Earlier, the Governor was greeted by Zilla Panchayat CEO, Dr. Kumar, City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Madan Mohan upon his arrival at Mangaluru International Airport.

He will visit the 1000 Pillar Basadi in Moodbidri and the Kodyadka Annapoorneshwari Temple later in the afternoon.

He will participate in Karkala Utsava in Karkala in the evening and will inaugurate a food festival.

The Karkala Utsava has been organized by the Kannada and Culture Department and other organizations to popularize the cultural, religious and architectural heritage of Karkala since March 10.

“Through Karkala Utsava, the uniqueness of Karkala will be introduced to visitors to the state. The culture of the place will be presented comprehensively to the people,” Kannada Minister and Culture V Sunil Kumar said.

As part of Karkala Utsava, all the tourist sites and historical sites such as Karkala Gomateshwara, Chathurmukha Basadi, Aanekere, Athur St Lawrence Basilica, Ramasamudra and others are illuminated with colored lights. All roads are illuminated by lighting. Exhibitions of various products are held at Swaraj Maidan in Karkala.
