The magical world of Harry Potter has made its way to Philadelphia.
If you’ve ever wanted to know whether you belong in Gryffindor or Slytherin, the Franklin Institute’s new Harry Potter exhibit can give you your answer and more.
Visitors can see authentic wizarding world props, such as wands and costumes, and exhibits that honor iconic settings and moments, like Harry Potter’s bedroom under the stairs.
The exhibition comprises 21 distinct areas, including the Hogwarts Houses Gallery with the 4 houses, a Quidditch hall, Hagrid’s Hut and the Great Hall.
Larry Dubinski, President and CEO of the Franklin Institute, says, “There’s so much to see that I think when you turn around every corner, you’re surprised to see even more. So no matter your favorite part, be it the books, the movies, the play, there’s something here for every Harry Potter fan.
Throughout the exhibit there are interactive touch screens and activities that guests are encouraged to use to fully experience Hogwarts.
“If you stand at the end of this exhibit, you see people with big smiles on their faces saying it was a great experience, it was a great way to spend some time,” Dubinski says.
The end of the tour will take you to the gift shop, and this is where you can end your experience with a classic butterbeer.
The exhibit will remain open until September 18, 2022, guests can purchase tickets and learn more on the Franklin Institute website.
