Kalupur station will be modeled on Modhera’s Sun Temple: Shah | Ahmedabad News

GANDHINAGAR: Amit, Minister of Interior and Cooperation of the Union Shah said on Sunday that the Kalupur the Ahmedabad railway station will be renovated and modeled on the Sun Modhera temple in five years.
Shah said this in the Manipur locality of Ahmedabad, after laying the foundation stone and dedicating development works worth Rs 211 crore in his constituency of Lok Sabha, Gandhinagar.
“I guarantee you that within the next five years, Kalupur Railway Station will be a grand plaza modeled after the Modhera Sun Temple,” Shah said. He added that Sabarmati station will also be completely renovated and passenger trains bound for Mumbai and South India will also depart from Sabarmati station.
Earlier, Shah inaugurated a water supply project for Bopal and Ghuma. This will guarantee pure drinking water from Narmada to 70,000 households. On the occasion, Shah inaugurated a Rs 77.5 crore water supply project, a Rs 7.73 crore housing project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and a sports complex. He also laid the foundation for an airlift, lake redevelopment, a canal bridge and a solid waste recycling project.
“Narendrabhai (Modi PM) took Gujarat to the top in terms of development (when he was chief minister of the state) and also ensured the continuation of the tradition even after he left (for Delhi),” said the Union Minister .
