Rohtak: Temple Architecture Exhibition : The Tribune India

Rohtak: A five-day national workshop on “Artistic Interpretation of Hindu Temple Architecture”, organized by the Planning and Architecture Department of Pt Lakhmi State University of Performing and Visual Arts Chand, ended Friday. The closing ceremony took place in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Gajendra Chauhan. An exhibition presenting the works created during the workshop was also organised. Under the guidance of renowned visual artist Kuldeep Singh and faculty members from the department, the students depicted the architectural nuances of 16 famous temples from the Chola, Pallava, Chandela, Madurai Nayak, Vijaynagar, Pandya, Chalukya and Solanki dynasties.

“Triveni” plantation on the university campus

Faridabad: To promote the benefits of ‘triveni’ trees, the faculty of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, conducted a planting campaign under the ‘Hariyali Parv’ and planted banyan trees, neem and peepal on the campus. When these three trees are planted together, it is called a ‘Triveni’. The planting campaign was organized by members of the University Staff Club and the University Women’s Club.

Entrepreneurship Conference

Yamunanagar: A conference on promoting entrepreneurship was held at the Indian Public School, Jagadhri under the patronage of Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan. The keynote speakers for the program were pedagogue Dr. MK Sehgal, District Coordinator of Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, and Dr. Uday Bhan of Guru Nanak Khalsa College. On this occasion, Dr. Sehgal honored two young entrepreneurs Vanshika Dua and Vandita Singh for their remarkable work.
