LUCKNOW: Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh plans to create an integrated online temple information system which will include descriptions, details and history of all temples in the state, as well as road maps for tourists.
The Department of Religious Affairs previously instructed the general manager of UP Electronics Corporation to develop software and upload the aforementioned temple information within the next six months. The finance department will soon issue a payment of Rs one crore.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has requested a budget of Rs 1,000 crore for departmental activities in the financial year 2022-23, up from Rs 32.52 crore in 2017-18 and Rs 614.88 crore in 2021-22, according to a government spokesperson.
The government plans to work on the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor Supplementary Project within the next 100 days. The department also intends to run the Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan in Ghaziabad and work on the second phase of the Vedic Science Center which will cost Rs 934.46 lakh. In addition, the government intends to establish a council in the coming years to oversee the implementation of support programs for elderly saints and priests. Moreover, the government of Yogi Adityanath has a five-year infrastructure plan for Ayodhya.
